Here’s How To Make The Dye

  • Depending on the length of your hair, take 100 to 150 grams of dried alma respectively.
  • Take a small iron pan put the pieces of dried amla in it after taking out the seeds.
  • Place the pan on the stove, switch on the flame till it gets heated. Put the amla into the pan after reducing the heat. Keep roasting the amla on low flame.
  • Continue the process until the pieces turn black in colour. It may take around 25-30 minutes.
  • Once done, pour 250 ml of water into the pan and increase the flame.
  • Let the mixture boil for another 10 minutes in low flame. Now let it cool down and leave it in the same manner overnight.
  • The next morning you will see that the mixture has turned soft. At last grind it all together into a not so thick and not so runny paste. Make sure there are no solid pieces of amla in your mixture. It’s ready to use.

Don’t Forget To:

  • For the best results, patience is important as the result will be visible after fifth to the seventh application, depending on the texture of your hair.
  • Before applying, wash your hair with a good cleansing shampoo. Dry your hair naturally and do not apply any serum or other hair products.
  • After applying the paste let it rest for 2-3 hours before washing it out without any shampoo and just with the help of water. Again do not apply any other hair product.
