If your skin feels dry and itchy during the summer season, you should turn to body butters and ditch regular moisturisers and lotions. Body butter has a thicker consistency and a long-lasting formula that keeps your skin hydrated for a long time. I recently started using body butter from Akihi enriched with cocoa and shea butter for my skin. Is it worth buying? Here, read my detailed review.
₹1550 for 200 ml
This body butter comes in a sturdy tub with a rotating lid.
Akihi's body butter has a light, soothing fragrance. The texture is light and creamy.
I have naturally dry skin and can't do without a moisturising lotion or cream. I tried a couple of new launches in the last few months but nothing worked for me. Honestly, if I don't slather my face and body with a cream or lotion after a bath, my skin starts to feel itchy. When I first came across Akihi's body butter and read through its claim, I wondered if the product would work for real but some reviews hailed the product and I was convinced to invest in this one.
I loved the product packaging, simple yet appealing, and a sturdy plastic box that can be easily reused. Coming to the product, I love the buttery texture, it is smooth, and quickly absorbs into the skin. The fragrance is light and refreshing, perfect to kickstart the day. Since the product can be used on the face too, it saved me money. I didn't invest in a different moisturising product for my face and have been using this body butter for my face too.
Price-wise, yes, the product costs a tad bit higher than a lot of body butters available in the market but for me, it was worth it! Full marks for the product's claims, it works like magic on your dry skin, keeps you hydrated for long hours, and gives a non-greasy feel.
The tub is quite heavy, and not travel-friendly. The product can be transferred to a smaller container for travel.
