2.Oh! Haircare Review: Frizz, Oil, Humidity – Can the Range Control It All? | HZ Tried & Tested

I have waist-length wavy hair that often gets frizzy, and an oily scalp. The texture is thin, and a common problem I’ve faced is hydrating shampoos leaving my hair feeling weighed down. I end up having to shampoo every two to three days to keep it manageable and non-oily. I tried them out during the unforgiving, sweaty summer months, which also saw spells of rain and humid, overcast days.

All the products from the range were cruelty-free, vegan and didn’t contain any ammonia or peroxides.

I usually tried out the Reconstruction Shampoo, the Reconstruction Hair mask, the Leave-In Conditioner and the Hair Repair Serum in Crème. It tried them twice a week, for over a month, to bring you this review.

2.Oh! Reconstruction Shampoo and Reconstruction Hair Mask Review

The shampoo comes in a purple bottle, and the product doesn’t need any squeezing out.

The only noticeable difference between this and other shampoos I’ve used in the past is that this one has a runnier texture and doesn’t foam up all that much. My scalp, however, felt instantly clean after one wash. It was only when I’d oiled my hair thoroughly that I needed to wash it twice, for my hair to feel refreshed.

The hair mask, with its white creamy, slightly jelly-like texture, was a breeze to apply. I left it on for about 3-5 minutes, depending on how much of a rush I was in.

Both the products smell clean and fresh, something I look forward to in bath products. Enriched with Argan Oil, both products claim to smooth out dry, damaged and frizzy hair. For my overall review, scroll down.

2Oh! Leave In Conditioner and Hair Repair Serum In Crème Review

The Leave-in Conditioner was lightweight, non-greasy and felt easy to apply. It wasn’t slimy and didn’t flatten my hair out. It has Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, a UV filter that helps shield strands from sun damage.

The Crème-Based Hair Serum, too, came with instructions on how much to apply. It was creamy, but not oily, and got absorbed into my wet hair quickly. Enriched with Keratin, it claims to go deep into hair, to fortify each strand from within.

I applied both to damp, towel-dried hair, in little amounts.

The conditioner retails for INR 1199, and the serum is priced at INR 1499.

Verdict: Would I Recommend the Range?

My hair started feeling a bit different after the second use, when I noticed a noticeable reduction in frizz. After 4-5 washes, my hair was healthier and shinier. It was especially helpful for my oily scalp, where it kept my scalp clean and my hair nourished, without weighing it down.

My hairfall reduced too, despite it being damp, rainy weather, when my hairfall and dandruff tend to increase. My scalp remained clean in between washes, and I didn’t face a dandruff problem either, during this period.

Overall, I’d rate the range 4 out of 5.

The shampoo texture can feel too runny for some
