However, a lot of times, they end up taking permanent space in our storeroom. Dr Bhardwaj said that you should never let this happen as broken items kept for a long time in the storeroom can invite negative energy into your home.
2. Old Mops
According to Vastu Shastra, you should maintain cleanliness in your storeroom just as any other room in your home. The expert mentioned that you are also advised not to keep old mops or wipes there to avoid negativity.
3. Old Car Items
Dr Anand said, “Many times we keep old items of our vehicle or car like old tyres or spare parts in the storeroom. All these are the form of Shani. If these things are not really needed or they are damaged then do not collect them at all. Keeping such things in the storeroom chases wealth and prosperity away.”

4. Old Newspaper
Many people are fond of collecting old newspapers and magazines in the storeroom to sell later. “However, if you don’t sell it and it stays there for a long enough time, such old junk can spread negative energy in your home. Because of this, Goddess Annapurna does not give her blessings to such a house which can lead to a shortage of food in your home,” shared the expert.
5. Avoid East Or North Direction
You are advised not to keep any heavy stuff like cupboards or other storage units in the east or north direction of your storeroom, especially if you keep food items, grains, etc., in them. This can hinder your progress and development.
