We all know that a trip to Vaishno Devi yatra is no easy task. If you are a senior citizen or are a little aged or you have children travelling with you, it becomes even more difficult. Most people cannot afford the helicopter services as it is a bit too expensive for a common person. However, this time things have become easier and more sorted as the way to the temple has been made easier with ropeways and battery cars and more. Where will you get these and how much do you spend on these? Read on to find out your answers.

Helicopter Ride

Yes, this option is always there but now you can book it at least 60 days before. Priced at Rs 1045 one way, the ride lands you 2 kms below at Sanjhi Chhat. From Katra to Sanji Chhat, it will take you just 2 minutes to reach! In case your trip was planned suddenly, then you do not have to worry. The ticket counter opens at 5 a.m. till 8 a.m. The rides go to-and-fro from 10 a.m till 7 p.m.

Prams For Children

If you have small kids with you then you no longer have to carry them, as there are prams available for the same. With the rent being just Rs 400, make your yatra more peaceful.

Palki For The Aged And Handicaps

Now you can visit Vaishno Devi in a palki as well! Especially the aged individuals or those who are physically challenged. Many of us cannot even sit on the 'khachchar' or horses due to some or the other fear. So this one is pretty cool. The only catch is that it is the individuals who carry your palki on their shoulders. Starting from 'Bada Ganga' to the Bhawan, if you are under 100 kgs then you can avail this ride for Rs 3450. If you weigh more than that then they charge you a bit more which could be for Rs 4300. Yes, it is a little expensive but one more way of travelling for sure!

Battery Cars

If you have travelled halfway on foot and now you are unable to walk any further then this is one way out. You can travel in battery cars with rent of only Rs 354. It takes you to the Bhawan within few minutes. If you are going there for Navratri or any other special reason then you can easily avail these cars. You don't have to deal with any agent!

Ropeway

After visiting Vaishno Devi, many plan on visiting Bhairov Mandir. The problem is the walk which is extremely difficult for most of us. However, now you can use the ropeway to make things easier. They make you sit in the trolley which carries at least 40 to 50 people in one go. The rent is super cheap! Yes! It is just for Rs 100! That too a round trip.

'Khachhar' or Horse

This one is what we are more familiar with. A round trip is for Rs 1100 only.
