With the advent of summer, people just want to pack their bags and go to the hill stations to get respite from the scorching heat. We often plan our visits to north or central India where temperatures remain pleasant. However, with the ever increasing effects of global warming making its presence felt, these parts of the country are also witnessing erratic weather conditions.

Temperature in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR), which is known for its dry summer and teeth chattering winter, has touched 46 degree Celsius.

Delhi's neighboring state Uttarakhand, which has many hill stations and is the most opted state to visit during summers, is also facing the brunt of severe hot weather conditions. Temperature rose to 41 degree Celsius in Dehradun, situated near the Himalayan foothills. Temperature is likely to hover around 40 degree Celsius in Dehradun in the next few days.

Situated beside the Ganges River, Rishikesh is also boiling this summer. The temperature here has touched 42 degree Celsius this week.

Rajasthan too is baking in sun. Temperature in Jaipur has touched 43 degree Celcius. In Udaipur, temperature will remain around 40 degree Celsius.

Moving towards the western part of the country, In Maharashtra's Nagapur Nagpur and Chandrapur continue to be the hottest places. Temperature is just a couple of degrees short from touching 50 degree Celsius.

So be prepared if you have any plans to visit either of these places to spend your summer vacation.

But don't get disappointed, you summer moods won't get dampen as there are some places where weather is still pleasant. Weather in Mussoorie is pleasant with minimum temperature hovering around 12 degree Celsius while maximum temperature is around 28 degree Celsius.

Nainital is another place where you may visit this summer. Temperature in this hill station is around 26 degree Celsius during day time and nights are pleasant where temperature is as low as 13 degree Celsius. You may also include Shimla to your itinerary. Weather here is cool and is expected to be between 24 degree Celsius and 12 degree Celsius in the coming days.

Still thinking about where to go this summer then book your ticket to Srinagar. Maximum temperature in this hill city is expected to be around 25 degree Celsius in the coming days. Rain is also predicted in the next few days.
