The web series Mirzapur is named after the city in Uttar Pradesh. Most of its scenes are filmed in the real-life location of Mirzapur. This city is close to Prayagraj, making it convenient for visitors to recognize many scenes from Mirzapur season 2. For instance, the scene where Kaleen Bhaiya, portrayed by Pankaj Tripathi, performs the last rites of Bauji, played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda, takes place at the Jargo Dam near Mirzapur in Chunar. Another notable scene is when Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) shoot at Munna (Divyenndu), which also occurs in the same location.

The Tripathi Kothi and Kaleen Bhaiya’s mansion in Mirzapur are actually the Azmatgarh Palace in Varanasi, also known as the Moti Jheel Mahal. This location serves as one of the most picturesque filming spots for the series. Additionally, Tripathi Chowk is portrayed as the entrance to Ramnagar Fort, a site frequently featured in the show. The glorious ghats of Varanasi, like Kashi Nagri, are also highlighted in Mirzapur, adding to the rich setting of the series.
