• Dark colours like blue, black and grey are associated with elements of water. Therefore, they absorb negative energy. For example, people keep black goldfish (black Moore) to ward off negativities in the house.
• Purple and red-coloured fish signify the fire element. However, they do not boost luck like other types of fish. It is because fire drains water.
• Brown and yellow fish define earth elements. They can attract monetary luck; however, their capacity is weak.

Goldfish

According to Vastu shastra, as well as Feng Shui, goldfish bring good luck. One can find it in various shapes and sizes. Shaparia says, “Goldfish is very helpful in increasing the good fortune of the house.”

Flower Horn Fish

Flower horn fish brings prosperity to your home. It is also associated with powerful positive energies.

Arowana (Dragon Fish)

Although it is one of the most expensive species of fish for the aquarium, Shaparia says, “It attracts wealth, prosperity, happiness and good luck because of its red colour and coin-like scales.” It usually has golden fins and a tail.

Cory Catfish

It keeps the aquarium clean by eating algae that develop at the base. According to Shaparia, “It is a calm and peaceful fish that attracts good luck in the house.” It can also tolerate various conditions of the water.

Butterfly Koi

This specie of fish has mystical roots in Japanese culture. It attracts good luck for the owner. Shaparia says, “It is a good choice for students and professionals because it brings good fortune for the pet parent.”

Angelfish

Vastu Tips For Aquarium

• One must select moving and active fish to ensure a smooth flow of energy in water.
• In most cases, people must add at least 9 fish to an aquarium. Of these, eight can be goldfish, and one must be a blackfish.
• One must choose a large tank for home and clean it frequently. You must add filters and oxygen pumps to ensure that fish remain healthy and happy.
• You must keep fish in acrylic or glass tanks.
• North, East and North-east directions are appropriate for keeping the aquarium in the house.
