But according to Vastu Shastra, certain plants should be avoided from being kept at home and especially in your bedrooms. This is so because these plants are attractive and have their own set of benefits. Here are five plants that should not be kept at home and in your bedrooms because they can lead to destruction of happiness, health and productivity at home.
Cactus Plants:
Cactus plants can bring in negative energy and vibes at home. According to Zee News astrology and Vastu Shastra consultant Parduman Suri says, "It is usually believed that cacti and other thorny plants foster arguments and chaos in the home and harm romantic relationships. They are capable of causing financial difficulties. The living room, bedroom, or main entry of your home should not contain such plants."
Cotton Plants:
Cotton plants specifically the silky cotton plants are visually pretty but they bring bad luck if placed indoors. So make sure you avoid adorning the corners of your house, particularly your bedrooms with them.
Bonsai Plants:
Bonsai plants are expensive and very attractive but unfortunately they are not the ideal sort of plant to be kept at home. The reasons for this are believed to be that these miniature plants can damage the prosperity and block paths of progress of the individual in the house. Hence, it is advised to keep them away from home as per Vastu Shastra.

It is believed that evil spirits reside in the mehendi plants, so it is advised to not keep them at home. The plant’s strong smell is known to disturb one’s peace of mind.

Tamarind Plants:
