Different Types Of Stains And How To Get Rid Of Them

Stains are like unwanted guests they arrive suddenly and don’t give any clue about leaving. But stains are also synonymous with the fact that we live life to the fullest, be it in the highs or the lows. So, you should not really worry about stains so much because however tough a particular stain is, it can always be removed with the right ingredients and tools.

Fruit Juice Stains

• Fruit juice stains are quite common but have natural colors in them that do not go off with a normal wash. So, try this:
• It will be easier to remove the stain if it's fresh. However, you can still use this method and repeat it a few times to get rid of the stain completely even if its old.
• Pour some water over the stain and try to get it as light as possible.
• Get a detergent with enzymes, as these are good for natural food stains. Wear your rubber gloves and spread the detergent over the stain.
• Wait for about 25 minutes and then rinse the fabric in hot water and let it dry.

Grease Stains

• Grease stains are oily and sticky and if not removed in time, these stains might also spread to different clothes through contact.
• So for removing these stains, get your hands on a strong dish detergent.
• Under cold running water, hold the stains and scrub them gently with your fingers.
• Use a soft toothbrush to work your way through the stain after you spread some detergent over it.
• And rinse off with cold water. Further, if the stain still remains, you can use an enzymatic stain remover on the stain, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then rinse it off to restore the life of the fabric.

Blood Stains

• Another very hard-to-remove stains are that of blood. Blood(how to remove period stains) has a natural pigment that penetrates and gets stuck between the fabric and you need still patience to get this stain out.
• Soak the stain in cold water and scrub it with your fingers. Once the water turns pink replace it and repeats the process a few times until the stain lightens.
• Wring the fabric then pour some liquid detergent on it. Allow it to sit for 2 minutes and then wash with normal water repeat this a few times if the stain stays.

Tea/Coffee Stains

• Start by taking your stained cloth and sprinkling baking soda(benefits of baking soda) over it. Let the powder stay for 5 minutes and then scrub the fabric under cold running water.
• Turn the fabric upside down and try pushing the stain outwards under running water.
• Now scrub some liquid detergent over it with a toothbrush and rinse with warm water.

Lipstick Stains

• To get rid of lipstick stain, start by scraping off the lipstick with a spoon or a sharp object.
• Then try tapping through the stain with paper tissues to absorb the lipstick from the fabric.
• Dampen the stained region and pour some cleaning agent over the spot.
• Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then scrub it off gently with a toothbrush.
• Then sprinkle some non-chlorine bleach detergent over the stain and after 2 minutes rinse the fabric with water and let it dry.
