Actress Aditi Rao Hydari recently came out to speak about her initial days in Bollywood where she revealed that she had to make out with a stranger during the audition of Sudhir Mishra's crime thriller ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’. Speaking at a chat show, Feet Up With The Stars, the actress was asked about one of her weirdest memories from the industry and the actress shared about doing the intimate scene with Arunodaya Singh.

Speaking to a news website, Aditi said, she barely knew Arunodaya and yet during the auditions she was shockingly asked to make out with him which made her uncomfortable. The incident made Aditi question the workings on a set.

While Aditi may have carved out a niche for herself in the film industry, with films like ‘Delhi 6’, and the more recently ‘Padmavat’, such incidents of discomfort against women are not unheard of. Try filing and internal complaint with the HR. Read through company's employee handbook and speak to a councilor to know your legal rights.

Report any instance immediately instantly. Your employer must be aware of the incident. Submit a copy writing and keep a copy to yourself as well.

Write It Down

As you as you face any form of harassment, write down exactly what happened. Be as specific as possible. Also mention in the written mail whom you are reporting it to. Others may read it at some point so be as accurate and objective as possible.

Group Up With Co-workers

If there are others who have faced similar situation in the office, convince them to report it as well.

Keep Your Own Records

If you are being harassed by your superior, your harasser may try defending him/herself by attacking your work performance. Keep copies of your work performance including performance evaluations for future reference.

Get Witnesses
