Shalin Bhanot: The Most Talked-About Contestant In Bigg Boss 16

Shalin Bhanot was first seen on television on the famous show MTV Roadies in 2004. He later participated in Nach Baliye Season 4 with his now ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur and won the title. The actor has been in the spotlight due to his controversial breakup with his ex-wife.

He gave a standout performance at the Bigg Boss 16 premiere and was later teased by Salman Khan for clapping for himself. The actor aspires to be a superstar just like Salman Khan and become the host of the biggest reality show in India.

Shalin is currently in the Bigg Boss house and has already gotten into trouble due to his violent nature. Last week, he was accused of aggressively pushing another housemate, Archana Gupta, during a task.

Shalin Says Bigg Boss Has Been His Lucky Charm

When asked about his reaction to getting the offer for the show, Bhanot said he had looked at himself in the mirror and asked himself whether he was capable of surviving on the show.

He mentioned how Bigg Boss had always been a lucky charm for him and every time he got an offer from the producers, he was later approached with big opportunities.

Shalin talks about being unfamiliar with all the daily household chores and how he believed it was going to be difficult for him to survive in the house. He calls himself a loner or an introvert and he is not keen on meeting new people, but he believes this opportunity would change that.

Shalin Plans On Going with the Flow When It Comes To Playing The Game

Bhanot is confident in his skills as a participant and does not believe in formulating any set strategies to follow. He wants to play the game naturally and take on every task and obstacle one at a time.

When asked about which season of Bigg Boss was his favourite, he gave a swift answer and called himself his favourite contestant, and season 16 his favourite season. Before entering the house, he was unaware of the other contestants.

He wanted his friend Karan Patel to join the show with him, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Shalin’s Strength Is His Family

When asked about his strengths and weaknesses, Shalin mentioned that his biggest strength was his family and their support. But it was also his weakness as he would miss them very much and that would make it hard for him to survive inside the house.

The actor does not like bullies, especially when stronger individuals pick on weaker ones. He mentioned that if he witnessed bullies in the house, that would make him lose his calm. He doesn’t believe in suppressing individuals who are weak and will make sure to take a stand against such oppressors inside the house.

Bhanot isn’t looking forward to finding love in the show. However, he talks about wanting love and support from the audience and the fans of the show.

He has been making headlines for being one of the most angry contestants on the show. Recently, Salman Khan reprimanded him for acting out of boundaries with a doctor sent in the house to attend to his health problems. He was also scolded by Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s father for making her a joke in front of the audience and people in the house.
