Actress Sara Ali Khan who is an upcoming star... actually she is already a star with a huge fan following, was very vocal about her crush on actor Kartik Aaryan at the Koffee With Karan chat show and since then the two have been talk of the town.
She wanted to become an actress for a long time and she is probably the most educated of the lot. She has so far been able to bag Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial, Kedarnath and Rohit Shetty’s,Simmba, which have done rather well on the box office. The 23-year-old actress won a lot of hearts even before her Bollywood debut, on Kjo's chat show. She made an appearance with her father and actor Saif Ali Khan, an episode loved by many as it proved the camaraderie between the two is beautiful and that Sara is a beauty with brains. It was then when she announced her crush on Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame actor, Kartik Aaryan.
Every one was zapped that she said on National Television, but then does that not show that she is fearless and speaks what's in her heart!
In that interview, she had also spoken about her acting journey, where she said: “When I finally decided to join Bollywood, I wasn’t shocked. I didn’t think ‘Oh my god, I thought I’d be a lawyer but look what I am doing.’ I always knew.”

With the decision, she worked on her physical appearance where she scaled down from 96 kg to 55 kg in weight. She said: “When I decided that acting is what I wanted to do, I wasn’t going to let something like the way I look get in the way. It was just a year of hard work and a little bit of commitment. Honestly, the weight loss part wasn’t as hectic as one would think. I was just doing the right thing— earlier, I’d not move at all. I was like the laziest girl in the world.”
About her crush in the latest interview to a certain media house, Sara spoke on her craze for Kartik and said that she now wants to get over with 'this Kartik Aaryan thing'!. She also shared that while she is busy with her life, she isn't oblivious to attention from boys.
Sara also shared that "if anyone knew of all the thoughts she has had, but done nothing about, she is certain people would get over her crush thing."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan is shooting for Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film 'Aaj Kal' opposite Kartik.
In another interview, she said: “The only thing I needed was to see myself on screen first. I understand that the opinions of my parents, friends, seniors, and audiences matter a lot. Seeing the appreciation, I feel a duty now. Your battles keep changing as there are new challenges. Now the challenge is not searching for acceptance. I have done Kedarnath and Simmba and I've worked hard, done my best and also received 80 per cent of praise. 20 per cent is good karma and they know I am a sweet person and they will not write me off.”
Speaking on stardom, Sara says she does not think about stardom and that she has a regular, normal lifestyle where she wakes up in the mornings and goes to the gym, has her food and then goes to work. "That’s it. I don’t think about stardom. I went for a walk at the beach this morning. I don’t think it’s a big deal, it’s normal.”
