Samantha Posts BTS Video of Yashoda Action Sequences, Fans Praise Her As ‘Warrior’

Yashoda has collected over ₹20 crores gross worldwide on Day 3 at the theatres.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest Telugu release Yashoda has been thriving in the theatres. The actor has been receiving praise from all over for her action sequences and performance. Soon after the release, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes video from the film on social media, where she is performing action sequences.

“Yashoda in theatres ad ‘BTS’,” she wrote in the video's caption in which she is seen fighting several stuntmen on the sets of the film and doing high jumps. The video also shows the intense training she went through for those action sequences while maintaining rigorous gym training to perform the same.

Yashoda is an action thriller film written and directed by the Tamil filmmaker duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan. Prabhu plays the role of Yashoda who works at the food delivery app Zomato and becomes a surrogate mother as she also has to fund her sister’s medical surgery. As she finds out something is wrong at the centre, where the surrogate mothers are kept, the film unfolds high-octane action sequences.

Recently, the actor announced that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Myositis, and that she has been struggling with the same over the past few months. In a recent interview with a Telugu television channel, Prabhu spoke about her daily struggles and the treatment process and how she showed up to work on those days. “Somedays getting up from bed is difficult. Somedays I want to fight. Slowly the days I want to fight are getting more and more than the days I want to give up,” she said.
