Shruti Haasan’s movie debut was by accident. In an interview, Shruti has confessed that the requirement for an extra in her father’s movie Hey Ram, was the reason why she was dressed up in a hurry and made an almost 2 second cameo in one of the scenes. When the time came for her actual debut with Madhavan, the film got shelved and she eventually ventured into Bollywood with the Imran Khan starrer Luck.

She Is A Pakka Artist!

You may have seen her jamming to Munch Macha in the peppy ad number for Munch chocolate but did you know about Shruti Haasan’s alternative rockband The Extramentals in which she is a vocalist? She made her debut as a singer at the age of 6 for her father Kamal Haasan’s movie Thevar Magan, went on to sing for his Hindi flick Chachi 420 as well and has learnt music in California. Also, when Naseeruddin Shah’s A Wednesday was remade in Tamil as Unnaipol Oruvan, guess who composed the music for the movie?
