According to the program list for the Pran Pratishtha program shared by Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, the rituals for the Pran Pratishtha for Ramlala’s idol have begun. The consecration will be complete on the inauguration day, i.e., January 22, 2024.

Who Made Ramlala’s Idol For Ayodhya Ram Mandir?
The famous sculptor Arun Yogiraj, hailing from Karnataka, has made the idol of Shri Ram. Arun Yogiraj embarked on his journey of sculpting at a very young age. According to the reports, five generations of his family have been renowned sculptors in Mysore. Even his grandfather Basavanna Shilpi was patronised by the King of Mysore, reportedly.
He also went on to pursue an MBA for a short period and even worked in the corporate world, however, he returned to his roots and restarted sculpting in 2008.

Arun Yogiraj is the name behind several noteworthy sculptures like the 30-feet statue of Subhash Chandra Bose in Delhi, the 12-feet effigy of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, and the 21-feet tall figurine of Lord Hanuman in Mysore.

Specialities Of Lord Ram’s Idol
The Lord Ram’s idol prepared for Ayodhya Ram Mandir is 51 inches tall and sculpted to resemble a 5-year-old boy. The general secretary of Ram Temple Trust, Champat Rai shared that the idol is made of black stone so that it doesn’t tarnish after coming in contact with milk, offerings and other items.

It will be placed along with the idols of Lakshman, Seeta, and Hanuman on the ground level of the temple. However, the idols of Lord Ram’s other brothers will be placed on the first floor.
