For those planning to observe fasts during the holy month of Ramadan 2024, here is a step-by-step guide for the daily routine of fasting that is to be followed.
Sehri
The day starts with Sehri and the time for Sehri is usually believed to be 5 am. You have to eat your meal before 5 am and after 5, you are prohibited from eating and drinking anything.

After Sehri, you have to perform Fajr Namaj which is basically the Namaj of the sunrise and the variable time for it is 05:15 am.
Usual Daily Routine
After the Sehri and Fajr Namaj, you can go about your usual daily routine. However, some people also read the Quran Sharif and then shower.
Johar
The variable timing for performing the Johar Namaj, also known as the afternoon prayer, is 2 in the afternoon.
Asar
The variable timing for performing the Asar Namaj is 0430 in the evening.
Iftar
The variable timing for performing Iftar is around 06:30 in the evening. This is the ritual of breaking the fast after 13-14 hours.

Ramadan 2024: Dua For Iftar: “Allahumma laka sumtu wa ala rizq-ika-aftartu.”
Right after doing Iftar, it is time for Magrib Namaj which is basically the evening prayer.
Tarawee
After you have performed Iftar and Magrib Namaj, the next step is performing the main Namaj of Ramadan, which is the Tarawee Namaj. You can do it between 9 and 10:40 pm.
Next, you can either go to bed or recite the Quran Sharif for another one or two hours. Then again, the devotees wake up at 03:30 or 4 am for Iftar and follow the same routine.
