Priyanka Chopra Reveals About Life After Marriage, Turning A Writer And More

Priyanka Chopra has finally revealed about her life after marriage, her upcoming projects and details about the viral picture that made people crazy over the internet.

Priyanka Chopra made an appearance at the popular talk show of Jimmy Fallon where she wore an embellished ivory white pantsuit that had a form-fitted trouser paired with a blazer having a plunging neckline. Designed by Teresa Helbeig, the suit had geometrical embellishments and she paired it with emerald earrings & ring from Lorraine Schwartz. While a newlywed bride in India can usually be seen in a profusion of colours like red, pink and greens, Priyanka has been sporting a lot of white outfits for her appearances after marriage. Whether it was a white gown for a family reception, a fitted dress for an appearance at the Ellen DeGeneres Show or for Good Morning America where she again rocked in a pantsuit, Priyanka is coming across as a new-age bride for sure.

Taking On The Jonas Surname

After joking about her celebrity nickname ‘Prick’ which she likes but Nick doesn’t (because it also means a worthless person!), Priyanka was asked about taking on the Jonas surname. She just said that adding the Jonas name to hers was pretty old school and meant an extension of her identity. Priyanka always wanted to add the Jonas surname as she felt that they were becoming family and it doesn’t take away from who she is. Talking about her wedding, she revealed that she had plans to get married away in some private island but it was Nick Jonas who insisted on coming to India to marry and take his ‘Dulhaniya’ away from her home. As for her wedding sangeet, she said that she was bowled over by the Jonas family who put up a grand show despite the fact that it was a first time experience for them. Not only did they bring down the house with the dancing but Nick Jonas also made an entrance by coming out of a cake!

Like any other newlywed girl, Priyanka also confessed how she did not realise how much of a big deal a marriage is until she got hitched and how the gravity of it is sinking in now. With a sheepish expression, Priyanka said that things are different after marriage (well, should we say we told you so!) and how living in her hubby Nick’s clean & tidy apartment means that she has to be very careful. Even her dog peeing on the apartment’s white carpet turned into an incident where she went crazy cleaning it and Nick still noticed it!

The recent picture of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas chilling at their home which went viral on social media had a story behind it too. Talking about her latest movie project Isn’t It Romantic which is slated to release around Valentine’s Day, she said that it calls out all the clichés of romantic movies which we all love and believed in.
