One of the most popular badminton players of India, Prakash Padukone is not just known as the first Indian to win the All England Open Badminton Championships, but also as the doting father of a leading actress, Deepika Padukone. They both share a beautiful bond that has often given us father-daughter goals. While some times, Deepika narrated how her dad has been one of her strongest supporters throughout her life journey, other times Prakash Padukone, who turned 65 on June 10, revealed how the star is treated normally to participate in the household chores. As an ode to him, let’s take a look at his and his superstar daughter’s some of the heartwarming moments.
Before we share those moments, here is a sweet post that Deepika made on her Instagram with the caption: "To the greatest off-screen hero I could have ever had! Thank You for showing us that being a true champion is not only about one’s professional achievements, but also about being a good human being! Happy 65th Birthday, Pappa ! We love you!❤️ #pappa #padukone.

We love the fact that Deepika Padukone is not just an exemplary actress, but also an ace badminton player. Before completely joining the entertainment industry she used to play badminton at the national level. This snap, wherein she can be seen practicing with her father is extremely sweet. Daughters generally are more close to their fathers and nothing can be as sweet as sharing the same interest with each other as Deepika and Prakash do.

When Deepika Revealed She Would Like To Play Her Father In A Sports Drama
Deepika Padukone has played the character of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in 83. It is her first sports drama in which her real-life husband Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Kapil Dev. During an interview, she was asked by a leading newspaper daily which sports personality she would like to play on big screens. She revealed she would like to play her father despite the gender issues. "I understand the gender issue (smiles). But if I had to play a sportsperson, then it would be him or any sports legend from that era,” said the actress.
She further explained the reason behind the same. “Because of what they achieved in the circumstances, within the limited exposure and knowledge versus the kind of funds, facilities, and visibility available to athletes today. But in spite of all that, to achieve that greatness and legendary status is commendable. Our yesteryear athletes inspire me,” concluded Deepika.
