Connections is one of the New York Times’ most beloved word games, quickly becoming a favourite among puzzle enthusiasts. The goal? To spot the hidden links between seemingly unrelated words. Like Wordle, the game refreshes daily at midnight, and each day brings a fresh challenge that’s often trickier than the last.
Spoiler alert! If you're still trying to crack today’s puzzle, proceed with caution. But if you're stuck or ready to see the solutions, we’ve got you covered. Below, you’ll find all the hints and full answers for today’s Connections puzzle (#683), dated Thursday, April 24, 2025.
How To Play Connections?
Connections is a widely loved (and often tricky) daily word puzzle game from the New York Times, the same folks behind Wordle. The objective is to sort a list of 16 words into four groups of four, with each group sharing a common theme or connection.
For example, you might find the words ‘Hook,’ ‘Nana,’ ‘Peter,’ and ‘Wendy’ all belong together because they’re characters from Peter Pan. Or words like ‘Action,’ ‘Ballpark,’ ‘Go,’ and ‘Stick’ could all commonly precede the word ‘Figure.’
Your challenge is to discover these hidden relationships and correctly group the words. But be careful, many of the words are selected to mislead you with plausible but incorrect groupings.
You’re allowed up to three incorrect attempts. If you make a fourth mistake, the puzzle ends and the correct answers are shown.
Each group also has a colour that indicates how difficult it is to figure out:
- Yellow – Easiest
- Green – Easy
- Blue – Medium
- Purple – Hardest
To win, find all four correct groupings before running out of guesses!
