Nothing has officially launched its latest true wireless earbuds, ‘Nothing Ear (open)’, in India. Available for pre-orders, the new TWS earbuds are priced at Rs 17,999, boasting an open-ear design and a sound seal system that works together with directional speakers to minimise audio leakage. The new edition of the British consumer technology brand diverges from the more conventional in-ear styles of the previous Nothing Ear and Ear (1).

The newly launched Nothing Ear (open) showcases the company's signature transparent aesthetics, however, offers a distinct look when compared with its other audio products. Currently, the Nothing Ear (open) is available in a single White colour variant, though the brand may introduce additional colours in future. Priced at Rs 17,999, pre-orders for the earbuds is live on Nothing’s official website. However, there is no information on in-store availability at the moment. This suggests the product availability might be slightly late as it is immediately available in global markets.

The new Ear (open) earbuds incorporate a sound seal system that works with the directional speakers to minimise audio leakage. Powered by 14.2 mm dynamic drivers with a titanium-coated polyethylene terephthalate diaphragm, Nothing features a unique design with a silicone ear hook, providing flexibility and durability. The new earbuds also boast other notable features including pinch controls, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Dual Connection, and AI Clear Voice Technology for better call quality.

The Nothing Ear (Open) also claims an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, covering both the earbuds and the charging case. When it comes to battery life, each bud houses a 64mAh battery with the case packing a 635mAh battery. Nothing is claimed to provide up to 8 hours of usage on a single charge, with up to 30 hours when used with the charging case.
