With just a few hours left before the final results of the Lok Sabha Polls 2019 being declared, the stress of the ongoing elections seems to be getting to media persons as well. As the counting of votes began across India today, a popular news anchor goofed up on air and blurted out Sunny Leone instead of Sunny Deol.
Republic TV founder and news anchor Arnab Goswami found himself in a mess when he referred to Sunny Deol as Sunny Leone during live coverage. Notably, actor Sunny Deol, who is contesting on a BJP ticket from Punjab's Gurdaspur showed a strong lead over his Congress rival Sunil Jhakar. Sunny Leone, on her part, has not shown any political inclinations as of yet.
A video of the anchor's gaffe started going viral on social media, and it seems that it caught the attention of Sunny Leone herself. She had an epic response to the blunder. The actor took to her Twitter handle and posted, "Leading by how many votes?"
Leading by How many votes ???? ;) 😜
— Sunny Leone (@SunnyLeone) May 23, 2019
Social media mercilessly trolled Goswami for the goof up with one user writing, "I am sure if @sunnyleone would have contested elections here she would have won any seat."
