Your bedroom is the most personal and important area of the house for you. After a hectic day, all you want is to feel relaxed by lying down on that comfy bed. However, it is just not a cosy bed that helps you in relieving stress and feeling peaceful for another. Other things such as colour of the walls, placement of the furniture, cleanliness, and aesthetics of the room also matter. While making major changes such as getting a new coat of paint done, changing flooring or the furniture is an expensive affair, you can garner positive energy by making a few minor changes in your bedroom. All you need to do is either displace the under given objects from your bedroom or simply get rid of them and here’s why!

Dead plants

Dead plants

There are Feng Shui experts, who don’t even recommend keeping any plant in the room because according to them the plants grow in the upward direction which is contradicting your sleeping position. This can hamper your peaceful sleep. So when it comes to dead plants there is no way they should be in your room. They fill the environment with negative energy. Just by looking at it, subconsciously you won’t feel relaxed and enthusiastic. So, if you have any rose plant, money plant or any other plant placed on the shelf or side table of your bed, get rid of it today.

Television

Television

Since the bedroom is supposed to be peaceful, with low lights and no noise, a television set shall never be placed in there. Experts recommend not keeping any kind of electronic devices in the bedroom for the positive energy flow. But since in the digital world that is almost next to impossible, don’t at least increase the number of electronic devices by even placing your television in there. Besides, watching TV before bed disrupts the sleep cycle. Removing it will have drastic changes in your lifestyle.

Mirror

Mirror

If you often wake up in the middle of the night, or for some reason, your sleep is being disrupted, probably you need to remove that mirror from your bedroom. A mirror reflects a beam of light and energy. Whatever positive energy must be there in the bedroom is being bounced by the mirror which may result in restlessness and amplify worries. Try placing your mirror in the washrooms. If you don’t have that option too, place it away from the wall opposite your bed.

Holy Pictures & Temple

Holy Pictures & Temple

There a few theories behind not placing idols or temples in your bedroom. The first one says that since you tend to enjoy your personal life with your partner and do all sort of personal activities in the bedroom, having an idol placed in there is disrespectful. Another theory states that like us even God should have resting time. Even in holy books, the emphasis has been given on the time one should pray, so keeping God in front of us in the room where we spend of the time is not appropriate.

Aggressive Images

Aggressive Images

Don’t take your bedroom decorations too far by putting random images of wild animals, dark and gloomy art, such as one eye, dark jungle or anything that feels opposite of peaceful. Since the bedroom is your main area for sensual healing and relaxation, any object portraying violence or aggression will weaken or completely negate positive energies.
