Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result: The seven-phase polling for all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across 28 states and 8 union territories concluded on Saturday, June 1. Results are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, June 4. The election process commenced with Phase 1 on April 19, followed by Phase 2 on April 26, Phase 3 on May 7, Phase 4 on May 13, Phase 5 on May 20, Phase 6 on May 25, and the final phase on June 1, 2024.

The vote counting for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, as well as the state Legislative Assemblies of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and bye-elections to Assembly constituencies, will begin on Tuesday, June 4, as per the Election Commission. The vote counting for the state Legislative Assembly elections in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh was conducted earlier, on Sunday, June 2. In Sikkim, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), under the leadership of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, secured a resounding victory by winning 31 out of 32 seats. Meanwhile, in Arunachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the government after securing 46 out of 60 seats.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the counting of votes for the 2024 Lok Sabha election and the state polls will commence at 8 AM on Tuesday, June 4, and will continue until all votes have been counted.

The counting trends and results, based on data entered by the Returning Officer/Assistant Returning Officer for each Assembly Constituency/Parliamentary Constituency, will be available on the ECI website at https://results.eci.gov.in/ as well as on the Voter Helpline App, available for both iOS and Android mobile devices, as reported by ECI on their twitter handle.

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Voter Helpline App
Voters can also access the election results through the Voter Helpline App on their mobile phones, compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The Voter Helpline App is available for download from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Once the app is downloaded, users can utilise the provided filters to view details of winning, leading, or trailing candidates, as well as constituency-wise or state-wise results.
Lok Sabha Election 2024: How To Check Constituency-Wise Results?
On the official website of the Election Commission (EC), follow these steps to check the results:
- Click on the "Results" section or go directly to https://results.eci.gov.in/.
- Select "General Election Results."
- Choose your state and check your constituency.
The page will display the status of leading and trailing candidates, and once the results start coming in, the constituency-wise winners will also be shown.
Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated, as reported by NDTV, that India set a world record with 64.2 crore voters participating in the Lok Sabha Election 2024.
Mr. Kumar said, “India created a world record with 64.2 crore voters, including 31.2 crore women, participating in the Lok Sabha elections this year. Only 39 repolls took place in the 2024 general elections compared to 540 repolls in 2019.”
He further noted that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its highest voter turnout in four decades, with an overall turnout of 58.58 percent and 51.05 percent in the Valley.
