Korean dramas continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the K-drama about the adventures of a genius autistic lawyer, was a huge hit on Netflix in August. And now it looks like September is going to be yet another exciting month for all K-drama fans, as we have a fantastic lineup of shows coming out. Many of the fan-favourite actors are making a comeback with these new shows. Here are the K-dramas you should watch out for in September 2022.
1. Little Women

Release date: September 3
The Korean adaptation of Little Women will be set in the modern day. There have been many adaptations of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, however, this is the first time the drama has been adapted by a Korean production. This adaptation revolves around three sisters who grew up in poverty. The show follows the sisters as they get embroiled in a clash with the wealthiest family in the nation.
The series' star-studded cast includes Kim Go-Eun who plays the oldest sister; Squid Game actor Wi Ha-jun plays a mysterious university graduate from a wealthy family who comes across the oldest sister after following an unexpected incident. Nam Ji-Hyun stars as the middle sister, while Park Ji-hu plays the youngest sister, who is known for her superb drawing skills.
2. Once Upon a Small Town
Release date: September 5
Once Upon A Small Town is based on the web novel of the same name by Park Ha-min, in which prickly veterinarian Han Ji-yool (Choo Young-woo) is tricked into relocating from Seoul to the countryside by his grandfather. Stuck running his grandfather’s veterinary clinic for half a year, Ji-yool struggles to adapt to life in idyllic Heedong Village.
He crosses paths with local police woman Ahn Ja-young, played by Red Velvet’s Joy (credited here as Park Soo-young). Charmed by her warm, reliable personality, Ji-yool soon falls for Ja-young.
3. Blind
Release date: September 16
In the mystery-thriller (Best Detective Series To Binge Watch) Blind, ordinary citizens seek justice after being victimised by criminals in powerful positions. Taecyeon (Vincenzo) stars as the enthusiastic and upright detective Ryu Sung-Joon, whose older brother Ryu Sung-hoon (Ha Seok-jin) is a perfectionistic judge. Meanwhile, Jung Eun-Ji (Cheer Up!, Reply 1997) plays social worker Jo Eun-ki, who puts the children she works with above all else.

4. Love in Contract

Park Min-young is returning with yet another romantic comedy (Rom-Coms To Watch On Netflix). In Love in Contract, Park stars as self-proclaimed “contract marriage master” Choi Sang-Eun, an attractive young woman who works as a wife-for-hire with her clients Jung Ji-ho (Seoul Vibe’s Go Kyung-Pyo) and Kang Hae-jin (Kim Jae-young).
Between playing the role of a perfect wife and daughter-in-law for her clients’ social and family gatherings, Sang-Eun finds herself in a tricky situation when she begins getting more involved with both Ji-ho and Hae-jin than originally planned.

5. Golden Spoon
Release date: September 23
Golden Spoon stars BtoB’s Sungjae as Lee Seung-Chun, a young man born to poor parents. He comes across an old street vendor one day who sells him a golden spoon, which she promises will bring him wealth. Seung-Chun's wish is soon granted, as he finds out he can swap fates with his wealthy best friend, Hwang Tae-yong (Lee Jong-won).
Also starring in Golden Spoon are DIA’s Chae-yeon and ex-MOMOLAND member Yeonwoo respectively as wealthy heiresses Na Jo-hee and Oh Yeo-jin, who cross paths with Seung-Chun when he starts putting the magical spoon to use.
