Kajol On Daughter Nysa Getting Trolled

In a recent interview with ETimes, Kajol agreed that she is bothered by social media trolls who attack her daughter, Nysa Devgan. Nysa has a private Instagram account and maintains a life out of the eyes of the paparazzi, but she still receives mean comments on her looks.

Kajol talked about how she reacts to online trolls who attack her daughter. She admitted that as a mother it affects her, however, she also likes it when most people say positive things about Nysa, who is her and Ajay Devgn’s first child; they also have a son, Yug.

‘If you are trolled, you are noticed’

Kajol’s next movie is Salaam Venky. In the film, she will play the leading role of a mother who takes care of her ill son, played by Vishal Jethwa who is known for playing Sunny in the Bollywood movie Mardaani. Directed by Revathi Menon, the film will release on December 9.

During the film’s promotion, Kajol was asked about the trolling faced by Nysa on social media to which she replied that she feels trolling has become a very strange part of social media. “It has become 75%. If you are trolled, you are noticed. If you are trolled, you are famous. It’s like you are not famous till you are trolled,” she said.

Bothered by the trolls

However, Kajol admitted the fact that it bothers her when Nysa is trolled. She has ‘actually gone and checked all these articles on trolling’ but believes that only two out of 100 people have something bad to say, which gets more amplified.

She advises her daughter to focus on the brighter side instead of dwelling on the negative things people have to say. “Woh same cheez mein usse bhi samjhaati hoon. Agar ek insaan aapko bol raha hai ki yeh kharab hai, toh usme se 10,000 log hai jo sochte hai ki you are the most beautiful girl in the world (I make her understand the same thing. If one person is saying something bad about you, there are 10,000 people who think you are the most beautiful girl in the world,” she said. “And most important is what you see in the mirror,” she added.

Nysa is currently pursuing her higher education in Switzerland after finishing her schooling in Singapore. According to Ajay Devgn, Nysa is yet to decide if she plans on joining the film industry.
