Kajol's Father Was Not Okay With Her Marriage To Ajay Devgn, Here Is Why!

Ajay Devgn and Kajol is one couple that has stuck together like Gauri & Shah Rukh, through thick and thin. On the occasion of Ajay Devgn's Birthday today on April 2, celebrating his 51st, we would like to take you down the memory lane and share with you how he and Kajol got married. It turns out their Kajol's parents at first had disagreed to the match and did not speak to her for a few days. Read on what really happened.

As a couple, whenever the power couple appeared on TV for interviews especially on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan couch, they have seemed to be a pretty chilled out couple. They are in a comfortable space in life where they pull each other's leg, she scolds him, they have gone without talking for hours when in a room together.

Ajay Devgan had told a leading media house that "the best thing in us has been that we both never asked each other to become the human being that we are not. If he needs space then I give, so is Kajol. She never fights with me. We are both together in a room for hours but do not talk. And we never feel uncomfortable about this thing. We are with each other. My equation with Kajol is that we share a strong bond. We are quite a chilled-out couple even at home."

Speaking on how they got married, Kajol spilled the beans to another website. She said: "When I first met Ajay, I was talking bad about him for 10 minutes before I met him. Actually it happened that we met 25 years ago on the set of the film 'halchal'. I was ready for the shot and I asked where is my hero? Someone pointed at Ajay and told me that he is sitting on that side. Ajay was sitting awkwardly in a corner. After this we both started talking to each other and we became friends.

Kajol then added that they were both dating other people. But later the conversation between the two happened.

"With Ajay, I criticised my then-boyfriend. Then soon, I had a breakup with that guy and Ajay and his girlfriend also broke up. Then we started seeing each other and after four years of dating each other, we decided to get married. Ajay's parents agreed to the wedding, but my father did not speak to me for 4 days, as he wanted me to focus on my career. But, I was adamant on marrying Ajay, later I convinced my father."

Now, Kajol and Ajay have two children named Yuga and Nyasa. Kajol says that life with Ajay is quite satisfied.

Kajol shared that they are not very romantic kind of couple but, yes, "we care for each other a lot. If I am thinking of some useless things, then it is inevitable that they will come out of my mouth without any filter."
