ISRO's Aditya-L1 Sun Mission:ISRO launches India's first solar mission Aditya-L1.Aditya-L1, the nation's first solar mission was finally launched by ISRO soon after Chandrayaan-3's successful soft landing. This mission aims to provide distant observations of the solar corona.

The PSLV-C57 will launch it, making it India's first solar space observatory. To conduct a thorough study of the sun, it will be equipped with seven distinct payloads, four of which will measure in-situ characteristics of the plasma and magnetic fields while the other three will view the sun's light.

What Is ISRO's Aditya-L1 Mission?

ISRO's Aditya-L1 is the India's first space-based observatory class to study the Sun. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C57of ISRO will launch it at 11.50 am today.

What Is The ISRO's Aditya-L1 Mission Budget?

The total budget of this Aditya-L1 mission is estimated to be around Rs 400 crore. According to ISRO Chairman S Somanath, the mission to the sun will take 125 days to reach the radius. This will provide scientists the opportunity to observe solar activity and how it affects the space weather in real time.

ISRO's Aditya-L1 Mission Launch Date And Time?

The Aditya-L1 solar mission to the sun will launch on September 2, 2023, at 11:50 am from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

Why Is ISRO’s Aditya-L1 Important?

The first Indian mission to study the Sun in space will be Aditya L1. The Lagrange point, also known as L1, has only been reached by two other space agencies: the European Space Agency (ESA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States.

What Are The Objectives Of The Aditya L-1?

The primary goal of the mission is to deepen our understanding of the Sun and how its radiation, heat, flow of particles, and magnetic fields influence it. The mission will also pursue the following goals:

1. To research the chromosphere and corona, the Sun's highest atmospheric layers. The chromosphere is immediately underneath the corona, which is the outermost layer.

2. To investigate Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), the massive plasma and magnetic field eruptions from the Sun.

3. To examine the magnetic field of the corona and what causes space weather.

4. To help scientists (The Inspirational Life Of Dr Swati Piramal - Scientist And Businesswoman) understand the causes of the solar wind the constant flow of particles from the Sun which is caused by the acceleration of particles on the Sun.
