Many over hyped television shows in the past failed to meet the expectations of the audience.

We have all seen some of the best shows on Indian television. However, every now and then there are some television shows which are highly anticipated but fail to deliver.

In the past, many shows have created a lot of buzz with their cast, big-budget, interesting storyline but still left us disappointed. Despite all the hype, many big television shows have failed to impress the audience. We will be talking about 5 shows which just didn't work for the audience.

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2

Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar starrer Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is a sequel to the 2011 series of the same name. While the makers managed to create a lot of hype around the second season of the show, it still hasn't managed to pick up in terms of the TRP.

Last year, there were reports of the show going off-air due to low TRPs. As per reports, the show had a TRP of 0.6. The makers then planned to introduce some twists but they too failed to work. Though the audience is enjoying Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar's chemistry as Ram and Priya, the storyline hasn't managed to hook them.

Looks like the reboot version is unable to match the legacy which was left behind by the first season which starred Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar.

Fans have been constantly reaching out to the makers through social media and giving them a wake-up call regarding the failed plot of the second season. We wonder if the makers are planning something or the plea by fans is only falling on deaf ears. What do you think?

Pavitra Rishta 2

We were all excited to see this sequel which originally starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande. The two made an iconic on-screen pair as Archana and Manav and everyone was curious to know if Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh will be able to create that magic again.

This second part of the show began after a 2-year leap and was released as an OTT version. To keep it short and crisp, they kept the storyline of the show was tight but looks like the plan backfired. The show somewhat lacks the emotional quotient which was the star of the television series.

Porus

The show was made with a whopping budget of INR 500 Crores. It was short partly in Thailand and the rest of it was shot in Gujarat. Right from the casting to the costumes of the characters were extravagant. The show was much hyped and called the television version of Bahubali. However, the show failed to hook the audience despite its grandeur and went off air soon.

Naagin 4

While the first 2-3 seasons of the supernatural fiction TV series were much loved, the 4th season of the show failed to work. The season starred Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin, and Anita Hassanandani in lead roles. Ekta Kapoor confirmed that it was because of the script that the makers planned to end the show abruptly. The fourth installment lacked the magic which was initially created.

Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3

Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes managed to win millions of hearts as Dev and Sonakshi on the show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. After two successful seasons of the show, we were all excited to see the third season of the show. Though the makers tried to make the third season work, it fell short of people's expectations.

When the show went off air, Erica Fernandes and Shaheer Sheikh talked about how they were disappointed too. Erica Fernandes took to her Instagram handle and wrote a long post dedicated to the show and her character Sonakshi. Her post read, “As for Sonakshi a character so dear to you and me, a character that was an inspiration to many, a character who was so strong, smart, balanced… the Sonakshi we once witnessed in seasons 1 and 2, the one we expected to see this season too but unfortunately we had to see the complete opposite of what she was."

“I hope you’ll always remember Sonakshi from the first 2 seasons and not how weak and confused she was made to look this season where in, in the first 2 seasons putting aside everything else. She at least had a job and an office to go to and not where she had to sit at home doing just nothing," her Instagram post added.

Shaheer Sheikh, in an interview, talking about the show going off air said, “I gave my best to the show and enjoyed playing the character. I agree that the third season fell short of people’s expectations, but we all tried to make it work and gave it our best. The storylines were also changed and everyone in the team gave their 100 per cent to it. Now that the show is getting over, I feel sad, but at the same time, I am happy that it lasted for three seasons and that is definitely a great feeling."
