Known as the 'Festival of Colours', Holi brings colour and happiness into our lives in the most magical way possible. On this day, we celebrate the onset of summer and victory of good over evil by letting go of all our negative emotions. And this year, this festival will be celebrated on March 9 and March 10. As per Hindu mythology, this festival gets its name from the destruction of the demon named Holika, who tried to kill her nephew, Prahlad. She wore a special cape that protected her from getting burnt and then sat in a bonfire and called for her nephew to sit on her lap. Prahlad was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, so he protected him while Holika burned to death.
This is one such festival where people are allowed to have fun by throwing water and colours on others, coz "Bura na maano Holi hai"!
So, for an occasion as special as this, here are some best Holi wishes that you can send to your friends and family.
