Guru Gobind Singh Ji played a key role in the foundation of the Sikh community. The Sikh Guru founded the Khalsa Panth back in 1699, introduced the five Ks (Kesh, Kara, Kanga, Kachera, Kirpan) to the community, and compiled Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism.
