Gold prices in India have shown sharp swings this week, reflecting changing investor sentiment and global market cues. After slipping earlier due to profit-booking and volatility in overseas markets, both gold and silver staged a brief recovery midweek as buyers returned to the market. However, the upward momentum proved short-lived, with prices easing again on Thursday amid renewed pressure from global factors.
As per Goodreturns data, on Friday, February 6, 2026, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹15,441 per gram, while 22-carat gold stands at ₹14,154 per gram. For buyers looking at lighter jewellery options, 18-carat gold is available at ₹11,581 per gram.
