GenZs born between the late 90s to early 20s are leading a significant shift in consumer behaviour. We spoke to Mr Manoj Adlakha, Founder & CEO, RedBeryl to understand how this shift is taking place in different aspects of life.

Whether it’s hiking India’s ancient trails, skiing, or soaring in a hot air balloon above the surreal valleys, to chasing the excitement of rafting untamed rivers, and bungee jumping, they chase the thrill that screams ‘unforgettable’.
According to Manoj, the current generation embraces dining experiences that transform every meal into unforgettable memories, resonating like your favourite song. Millennials and Gen Z are seeking exclusive culinary experiences, like private dinners in a Michelin-starred chef’s kitchen, where each dish is a mind-blowing masterpiece, or a romantic date night on a Maldives sandbank under a blanket of stars.
Manoj mentioned that wellness is a pursuit of wholeness, restoring both body and spirit. This generation seeks retreats that rejuvenate, from yoga sanctuaries in Bali’s lush jungles, and meditation havens in the Himalayas, to coastal escapes where sound baths and forest walks dissolve life’s chaos. They crave luxurious spas and ayurvedic therapies at exclusive member-only clubs, spaces that allow them to breathe, realign and feel truly alive.
GenZ is choosing more sustainable fashion over going with the trend. Gone are the days when celebrity looks were the only inspirations. These days comfort is the new trend that is preferred over fast fashion. Talking about beauty standards, GenZ is learning to embrace their skin type rather than going mad over makeup to hide the imperfections we all are born with. Investing in skincare more than makeup products is a small step towards holistic living.
