Freddy: Kartik Aaryan’s Views On His Character In Upcoming Romantic Thriller

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is all set for the release of his upcoming movie Freddy. In a recent media interaction, Aaryan said that Freddy is not a simple linear character. He revealed that this is one of the most complex characters he has ever played on screen.

The story of Freddy follows the journey of Dr. Freddy Ginwala, a shy, lonely, and socially uncomfortable person who enjoys playing with his model planes. Hardy, his pet turtle, is his sole buddy. The movie seems to have unexpected twists, turns, and emotional chaos.

In the media interaction, talking about the challenges of playing Freddy, Aaryan said: “It is undoubtedly the most complex character I’ve ever played. Freddy is not a linear simple character, he is layered, he is unpredictable, and he is dark but on the surface, he looks calm and regular. It’s very difficult to play a character whose exterior reactions and interior thoughts collide and this really pushed me out of my comfort zone as an actor.

The story's central character is Dr. Freddy Ginwala, a loner and shy dentist by day who transforms into a murderer by night. The line between love and obsession becomes blurry in this story full of unexpected twists and turns. Freddy's cast includes Aaryan and Alaya F in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and it will release on December 2, 2022, on Disney+ Hotstar.
