Are you among those who hate dusting? Or is cleaning your first love? Well, either way, we have some cool tips for you whether you have to clean your walls, ceiling fans, door frames, lights, bathroom vents, or air filters. They will save your time and also help in doing the deed in lesser time.
Ceiling Fans & Light Fixtures
Don't just take a normal cloth duster and place the ladder to clean ceiling fans or light fixtures. You can lose balance and if you are not tall enough, it makes things more difficult. So instead get a bendable duster. The advantage here is that you can bend the duster and clean. Once you are done cleaning, remove the microfiber cover and put it in the machine to wash.
Walls
You may not have realised this but your walls too accumulate dust other than the spider webs. Wipe your fingers on your wall and see the shade difference. So dusting your walls is important especially when they are light in colour. Don't just take a broom and clean as that makes them dirtier. Take a flat head mop, a microfiber cloth and spray on some water on it. Make a ‘W’ pattern while cleaning as this will save your time and you will be able to cover more space.
Door Frames, Corners & Moldings
Cleaning door frames etc can be a task and this is where you see a lot of spiderwebs as well. Take an old sock that has lost elasticity or you don't use it and pout it on a pole and swipe from end to end. Voila! it will be clean in no time.
Delicate Antiques & Showpieces
Spray some water on a small paintbrush or a makeup brush and clean the delicate areas of your antique pieces or carved decor items.
Bathroom Vents
This is one place that accumulates a lot of dust and grime. Clean them with a vacuum cleaner with the brush attached to it and watch all the dust vanish.

Dusting Direction
Dust falls from top to bottom so first always clean the highest point. Another way is spiral cleaning where you go clockwise especially on moldings and painting frames.
Microfiber Cloths
Ditch those cotton rags and get your hands on microfiber cloths. They lessen the cleaning time and do a thorough job. These cloths are electrostatically charged, so they attract dust. They are highly absorbent and give you streak-free surfaces.
