Final Day of Play

A few days prior to the final day of the play, Rahul is devastated to know that Pooja has a fiance, Ajay (played by Akshay Kumar). He is heartbroken and edits the end of the play to reflect his heartbreak, which was in complete contrast to his usual happy endings. On the final night, as Rahul and Pooja's characters reach the break up scene on the stage, Ajay plays a recorded tape that Pooja had intended to send him before his proposal. In the recording, she describes Rahul and how she fell in love with him. It is an indirect way of telling Pooja that the two are meant for each other. While Pooja confesses her love for Rahul, giving the stage play another happy ending, Ajay turns to Nisha to flirt with her, indicating at a happy ending for these two as well.
