In December, banks shall remain closed on various occasions including the Feast of St Francis Xavier, Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma, Death Anniversary of U SoSo Tham, Goa Liberation Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Christmas Celebration, U Kiang Nangbah and New Year's Eve/Lossong/Namsoong, with specific dates varying by state.
According to the RBI’s website: “All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe a public holiday on the second and fourth Saturday.”
