Buy Houses In Italy For A Bargain, Just Like Californian Woman Who Bought 3 Abandoned Houses For ₹270

A woman hailing from California bought three abandoned houses in a small village in Italy’s Sicily. She is now spending time renovating the properties in the rural parts of Sicily in a village called Mussomeli.

Rubia Daniels aged 49 years-old got interested when she got to know that the country was offering low-cost properties to refurbish these properties with the aim to repopulate deserted villages in the remote areas of the European country. For this purpose she has bought abandoned houses in the year 2019.

Daniels mentioned that she was amazed by the idea and wanted to check if it was for real and was quoted saying, “I did my research, and within three days I had my plane ticket, a rental car, and the hotel, and I left.”

The woman bagged three deserted properties for a pittance of $1.10 that is ₹90 each at the end of a 10-day tour to Mussomeli which is a small village in Sicily in July 2019. The sale of the abandoned properties was verified by a representative of Case 1 Euro, the company that is in charge of the Mussomeli housing development.

Apparently she has different plans for each of the buildings she owns in Mussomeli. The first house will be used for residential purposes whenever she visits the Italian town. She is planning on converting the second property into an art gallery to essentially give it back to the community and she intends to renovate the third property into a wellness centre which is considered to be her biggest renovation project to date.

She had started the renovation project back in the year 2019 but the Covid-19 pandemic pushed the deadline ahead. According to the current update, the outside of the first two properties is almost done.
