Brahmastra is trending again in the news for being the most expensive Hindi film ever made. Excluding publicity and print, the movie is touted to be made on a budget spanning well over ₹400 crores.

Releasing on September 9, Ayan Mukerji’s film has many renowned names, and this is only its first part of an intended franchise saga. It took almost eight years to complete.

Movie Expenditure

According to Bollywood Hungama, the idea behind the film was to create a ‘big screen spectacle’ as no one has experienced ever before. Mukerji and his team have created striking visuals as visible in the trailers, and it has already blown our minds.

“The trailer is just a tease, as visuals of the film are at another level,” revealed the source of Bollywood Hungama.

The entire crew of Dharma and Disney involved in this project has made sure that Brahmastra would be a magical experience for viewers. However, it should not rule just the hearts of the audience but also the box office.

The source was further quoted saying, “While there is an element of nervousness in the stakeholders, they are also silently confident about the project.”

With such a huge budget, Brahmastra is now the costliest film in the Hindi film industry after Thugs of Hindostan, which had a budget of ₹310 crores.
