While a lot of celebrities are generously donating to the PM-CARES fund and other funds, many of them are actually stepping out to help the underprivileged. Recently, Bigg Boss contestants, Paras Chhabra and Mahira Sharma were seen distributing food packages to the needy.
Paras and Mahira were spotted wearing masks and gloves as they distributed packages with food essentials to the needy. Mahira Sharma shared the video on her Instagram and captioned it, "We do understand most of you think it is showoff and we respect your views. Even we believe that donation is something we do from our heart and there shouldn’t be any evidence of the same. But honestly it was an genuine effort to motivate people to do their bit in these trying times. We are all in this together guys. We have a shared purpose. That’s all we would want to say right now. Stay positive and stay safe! We will get through this...together! @parasvchhabrra."

Ravi Kishan Distributing Essentials To Industry Workers
Actor and MP, Ravi Kishan also distributed food and essential items to around 100 people including workers, technicians, junior artists and less privileged actors of the Bhojpuri and Hindi film industry. He has been distributing these essentials using his own savings. He distributed a 5 kg bag with essentials like rice, daal, atta, spices, cooking oil, tea, sugar, and milk powder. He is not only distributing in Mumbai but also in Gorakhpur and Jaunpur in UP.
In an interview he said, “Hum kya leke aaye the iss industry mein? I was a big zero when I started off. I have worked closely with workers to understand their problems, unki takleef aur majboori samajhta hoon main. Yeh log roz kuan khod kar paani peenewalon mein se hain. The film industry has given me everything I have today. Yahin ka paisa hai, yahin kharch kar raha hoon. I plan to continue distributing essentials to those in need till the end of April, at least."
He further shared how his team is working along with him to send across essentials to everyone who are unable to get them due to the coronavirus outbreak. "If the lockdown continues further, I will arrange for more essentials and distribute them. Koi bhookha nahi soyega. Unfortunately, there are a lot of workers in areas like Mira Road, Dahisar and beyond which are beyond my reach given the lockdown. But everyone who lives in and around my area, or even a little far off, has been coming to my house, showing their industry card and taking home essentials. I am trying to provide enough for them to bide a few days at a time. In fact, I also send supplies to the homes of certain actors who are finding it tough to sail through right now. Every morning my team takes my car and delivers stuff to these actors. If you have anything extra in your pocket today, you are privileged and you must pass it on to someone who is not."

Actor Ali Fazal too stepped out of his house to distribute food to the needy. He wore a batman mask to distribute food to the underprivileged. He posted a video on his Instagram and captioned it, "Jisse darte thhey wohi baat ho gayi!!!! Aahh haa haa haaaaahaaaaaaa...... couldn’t muster up the courage to face the wrath outside. Called up the DCs to help out. We’ve collected some stuff to send to vile parle. Near number 5 petrol pump there are a lot of people in desperate need for food. Music is mine. Any others out there??? Keep doing the work..chhota bada doesn’t matter."
These celebrities coming out to donate and help those in need during this time of crisis is really inspiring and we all must do our bit. We are in this together!
