Bigg Boss 13 Finale Highlights: The fanfare, the performances and the big win for Sidharth Shukla!

After being the most talked about affair for around 140 days, the thirteenth season of Bigg Boss finally came to an end on Saturday, 15th February 2020. The big crescendo building for the moment Salman Khan finally handed over the shining Bigg Boss trophy to Sidharth Shukla, who defeated Asim Riaz in a neck to neck battle.

The tussle, which was at last among Rashami Desai, Asim Riaz, Sidharth Shukla, Paras Chhabra, Arti Singh and Shehnaaz Gill garnered the most TRP by breaking all previous records. But were we surprised? Let’s admit it, Bigg Boss 13 took the viewers on a voyeuristic rollercoaster packed with the ugliest and most intense fights between the housemates and arguably the most gripping finale.

The Opening of Grand Finale

The Bigg -Bhai of Bigg Boss and heartthrob of millions, Salman Khan opened the show with a scintillating performance and some hilarious moments from the season. The announcement of the grand prize of 50 lakh rupees was made, and the competition got even more real (as if that was even possible!)

Before joining Salman Khan on stage, Sidharth and Asim bid their final goodbye by switching off the lights of the luxurious house of Bigg Boss 13, where the contestants spent their days away from the outside world.

The Performances

The emotional moments of the night were peppered with comedy by Sunil Grover and spellbinding performances by the contestants. The show stealers of the night were Shehnaaz and Sidharth as they grooved on a few Bollywood hit numbers including, ‘Channa Mereya,’ ‘Aaja Piya Tohe,’ ‘Jaane Kyun Log Pyaar Karte Hain’.Sidharth didn’t let the spotlight go away from him as he thereafter paired up with Rashami Desai and danced on ‘Ang Laga De Re,’ and ‘Malhari'.

BB 13 Twist

A twist came in at around 10pm when a potentially strong contestant, Paras Chhabra, on given a choice by Salman, pressed the buzzer and walked out of the house with 10 lakh rupees. An hour later, Arti Singh got evicted from the show.

Rohit Shetty, Ex Bigg Boss 13 contestants Vishal Aditya Singh, Madhurima Tuli, Sunil Grover, as Guthi, entertained the audiences on the Bigg Boss 13 finale with dance performances and other acts. Between all the fun factors the final four contestants Asim, Arti, Shehnaz, and Rashami won an adventurous trip to Abu Dhabi, as promised by Salman Khan.

When it comes to blowing the fans' mind away, who knows how to do it better than the Bigg Boss contestants? While on one side Asim increased the temperature by going shirtless in an act, Sidharth put together an act for Shehnaaz by cladding in a sardar look. Of course, they looked adorable together!

The Second Runner-up

The song and dance continued a while more and the audiences were waiting with bated breaths for the top three finalists. And Rashami's fans were in for disappointment as she was the next contestant sent packing from the show!! It was a little past midnight when Shehnaaz was declared the second runner up with Salman calling her the most“anokhi contestant”[unique contestant] in the history of Bigg Boss.

The Winner

And now all eyes were on the Bigg Boss trophy and everyone wanted to know was who is going to take it home. It had been quite a journey for both Sidharth Shukla and Asim Riaz and it was now the hour of reckoning.Moments later, Sidharth Shukla was announced the winner of Bigg Boss season 13. Asim Riaz settled for being first runner-up. And as the audiences cheered for the win, they also must have thought in desperation,'where will we get our next doze of voyeuristic pleasure'?

The Bigg Boss platform has given the entertainment industry many stars, be it Nora Fatehi, Sunny Leone, Hina Khan, Prince Narula, Gautam Gulati and much more. Salman also hinted that the audience will get to see Arti Singh on-screen.Last but not least former Indian cricketers Mohammad Kaif and Harbhajan Singh also showed up on the finale and extended their support to Shehnaaz Gill.
