Eight years after marriage, television heartthrob and 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' actor Barun Sobti became a proud father of a baby girl. Barun and his wife Pashmeen Manchanda, who are childhood sweethearts, became proud parents on June 28. The couple kept the news of pregnancy secret until Paschmeen's baby shower ceremony on May 26 which was attended by close friends and family members.

After fans got to know that Barun and Pashmeen have been blessed with a baby girl, their curiosity reached to the next level to find out what the newly turned parents have named the new angel in the family. Barun said that they have named the baby girl Sifat which means praise. "I can’t describe my happiness in words. Like all parents, we just wanted our baby to be healthy. Pashmeen and I had secretly hoped for a girl," the elated daddy, Barun told a national daily.

When Barun was asked if he is all set for sleepless nights and changing diapers, he quipped, "Yes, my wife and I have planned everything, we are pretty sorted that way."
