Alaya, who is all set to make her foray into Bollywood with Nitin Kakkar’s 'Jawani Jaaneman' starring Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the lead, is already quite a sensation amongst her fans and paparazzi. In a recent interview with a news daily, the actress opened up about her preparations and said, “It’s daunting, but it makes every cell in my body dance. I’m one of those who love to over-prepare, and am hence leaving for London a week in advance. I want to get into the skin of my character and study the script better. I’m working with established artists who I admire, so I’m understandably nervous.”

For the unversed, Alaya Furniturewala was born on November 28, 1997, in Mumbai. She is the daughter of the 90s actress Pooja Bedi and her former husband, Farhan Furniturewala. When she was six years, her parents filed for divorce and went their separate ways. In 2003, their divorce got finalized and Pooja Bedi got custody of the kids.

Alaya did her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee International School, Mumbai. She then joined New York University to study Film Education. However, she later changed her mind and decided to pursue acting from the New York Academy.
