On Aaradhya's 11th birthday, mom Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared a picture of the two kissing each other. Her caption read, "❤️MY LOVE… MY LIFE… I LOVE YOU, MY AARADHYA ❤️🥰💖😍💝😘💗🤗💞💕."
However, as soon as the picture was posted, trolls started attacking the actor, saying it was "inappropriate".
A user commented, "Inappropriate behavior with no boundaries- we know you have only pure genuine love for your daughter, but you’re too much now! Remember you are a world influencer- think about how this post will negatively affect some fans!! You can do better!"
Another user wrote, "Not to offend or to spread hate, but Really parents gotta stop kissing children on their lips ..it's getting a little bit on trend these days and know this it's really weird for some people. To show a maternal love, even a pic with your kid standing aside with hands wrapped on their shoulders itself is enough, you can kiss cheeks or forehead. Many people wrote negative comments because liplock is mostly associated with the context of adults love life and all.."

However, Rai's fans also came out in support of her and criticised the trolls. A user wrote, "How cheap u all people are who are giving ridiculous comments about a daughter and a mother have some shame on u all must say what a bad upbringing and dirty minds u got …. Idiots." Another user, asking people to grow up their backward mentality wrote, "How strange is some people, looking at all these negative comments on how their pic is. . What is got to do with you mate..its just mum and her daughter expressing their love ,their bonding which is absolutely beautiful.. no pics of kissing your own child have to explained ,grow up backward mentality people."
Aaradhya Bachchan turned 11 years old on November 16, 2022. She was born in 2011 at the Seven Hills Hospital in suburban Andheri, Mumbai. She is often spotted with her parents Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan at the airports.
In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Rai said that she spent all her time with Aaradhya. She said, “I spend all my time with Aaradhya, and I have one nanny, by choice. I read comments saying, ‘Ah, she must have an army of help’ and I understand the perception, but I choose this way, which means life is always busy. I respect homemakers for the endless work they do.”
As can be seen from their regular sightings and social media posts, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya have a close relationship. As long as there is consent, there is nothing absurd for parents to physically express their love for their children.
On May 27, 2017, Aaradhya's grandfather Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback picture with his children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. In the picture, toddler Shweta can be seen adorably kissing Amitabh Bachchan, while Abhishek cradled in his father's arms.
