Former Miss Worlds Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra Stun In White At Cannes 2019; Who Pulled It Better?

White is one colour that can never go wrong.  It spells purity and elegance and it looks like that could be the reason why both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra, the two former Miss Worlds, decided to walk the red carpet for one of their appearances, in an all-white ensemble at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2019. And what is more surprising is both sartorial choices looked similar with their white hues and layered frills.

While Priyanka Chopra made her debuted on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya is a veteran at the International show, having been a regular since 2002. And yet, newbie Priyanka and seasoned Aishwarya, both accomplished actors, decided to dress in white at the red carpet of Cannes 2019. Question is, who pulled it better?

Starting with Priyanka Chopra, the 'Quantico' star and her husband Nick Jonas stole the show on the Cannes red carpet in coordinated white ensembles on Saturday. The actor sported a beautiful gown designed by Lebanese fashion designer Georges Hobeika from his Bridal Spring Summer 2020 collection. Priyanka undoubtedly looked angelic and stunning. To add to her elegance, Priyanka neatly tied her hair into ponytail and the only piece of jewellery she had was a diamond necklace.

In fact, the actor’s look gained even more views thanks to her PDA with husband Nick Jonas. The two looked completely mesmerized by each other and seemingly unaware of the entire world around them. A picture of Nick, looking strapping in a white tuxedo, feeding Priyanka a slice of pizza while she is dressed in the white Georges Hobeika gown soon went viral.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her part walked the red carpet wearing a stunning white ruffled gown with a fur cape by Ashi Studio. Known for being the boss lady at Cannes film festival, Ashwariya flaunted kohl-rimmed eyes and light pink lip colour with her hair pulled back in a bun to complete the look. Her look kind of reminded us of the time she won the Miss World title in 1994. What was missing was a crown and a sash!
