The 81st Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 7, 2024, and the nominations list was released yesterday. Cedric the Entertainer and Wilmer Valderrama presided over the announcements from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Let’s take you through the amazing talents that have been nominated this year.
Greta Gerwig's ‘Barbie’
This year, ‘Barbie’ is leading the nominations with nine nods including Best Picture Musical or Comedy, acting nominations for Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, and three original songs from the movie.
Gerwig said she, “can’t wait to bring the Barbie party to the Globes." in a statement earlier.
The feminism-centric blockbuster film created a rift around the globe, along with its release date companion, ‘Oppenheimer’.
This year, ‘Barbie’ received the second-highest number of nominations in the 81-year history of the show and tied with ‘Cabaret.’
