She shared her recipe to some delectable Kashmiri style Rogan Josh on social media. Let's see how she has prepared it. Here is the recipe along with the ingredients.

Kashmiri Rogan Josh

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Sauf powder 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1/2 tbsp
  • Clove powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder 1 spoon
  • Kashmiri red chillies 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ratanjot 2 small sticks
  • Curd 1 cup tossed
  • Cinnamon 2 inch piece
  • Whole clove 5
  • Cardamom 3
  • A pinch of asafoetida or hing
  • Fennel seed powder 1 tsp
  • Peppercorn 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger powder- 1 tsp

Method:

Mutton Marination: Take a bowl and put half a kilo of mutton pieces in it. Now add 1 teaspoon of Saff Powder 1/2 spoon cinnamon powder, 1/2 spoon clove powder, 1 spoonful of cardamom powder, 1 spoon Kashmiri red chilli and a little salt and leave it to be a little longer. But before keeping it covered, mix it well with all the spices and it becomes better Marine.

  • Now take a pan and put 1/4 cup mustard oil in it.
  • Put Ratanraj in it. Add cinnamon, whole cloves, cardamoms, asafoetida, fennel seed powder, peppercorn, red chilli and saute.
  • When the spices leave an aroma, add marinated mutton.
  • After mixing well, add ginger powder to it and add a cup of whipped curd and one cup of water. Cover it.
  • Kashmiri Rogan Josh will take at least 40 minutes to prepare, so put a lid on it and let it take its own sweet time while you relax.
  • When the mutton in the pan is cooked, then you take it out in a bowl.
  • Garnish it with green coriander leaves and serve hot.

This dish is bound to hit the right note with you, however, it is recommended that you make it in mustard oil but refine oil will also work well.
