Korean cuisine has gained immense popularity over the years, attaining a large demand in countries like India. Preparing Bingsu
- Take a medium-sized mixer jug. Add 2 cups of whole milk and ¼ cup of sweetened condensed milk in it.
- Mix them thoroughly until they are properly combined.
- Transfer the milk mixture to an ice cube tray. Keep it in the freezer for about 4 to 6 hours.
- You may need to amend the time according to the freezing capacity of your refrigerator. Ensure that when you take the tray out, the milk is fully frozen.
Preparing Strawberry Sauce
- Take a small saucepan and let it heat for a minute or two.
- Add 1 cup of roughly chipped strawberries to the pan along with ¼ cup of granulated sugar.
- Let them cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on medium heat until it has completely thickened.
- Once done, turn off the heat and let it rest until it cools completely.
Assembling
- After a few hours of freezing the Bingsu cubes, check if they are done.
- If they are fully frozen, take them out of the freezer and place them in the bowl of a food processor.
- Let it pulse until the cubes are all broken and fluffy.
- Transfer the shaved ice to your serving bowl.
- Add the homemade strawberry syrup over the shaved ice, arrange 6 to 8 halved strawberries, and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream over the shaved ice.
- Relish the cold dessert immediately!
