Summers are hard to pass if we do not have chilled water. However, sometimes our bodies crave something cool and tasty for a drink. How about crafting refreshing coolers in your kitchen?
With four simple recipes written below, you can welcome your guests with chilled drinks. You can also enjoy these drinks on a scorching afternoon while enjoying some light snacks. Take a look!
Mint & Ginger Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Juice
- 1 Whole Lemon
- Mint Leaves
- Water
Process
- Either grate a tablespoon full of ginger and squeeze its juice into a jar.
- Squeeze three lemons in the pitcher and add a whole sprig of mint leaves.
- You can press the mint leaves to add their flavour to the drink.
- Add a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey to the mixture.
- Fill the jar with ice cubes and add four cups of water.
- Fill your glass with the drink and enjoy it.
Peach Iced Tea
Ingredients
- 4 Lemon Tea Bags
- Water
- 6 Roughly Chopped Peaches
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Process
- To a jar, add lemon tea bags and pour boiling water.
- Soak the tea bags for 10 minutes.
- Keep the tea aside to cool off.
- Roughly chop ripped peaches and add them to a saucepan.
- Add water to the pan and a quarter cup of maple syrup.
- Cook peaches for about 20 minutes or until they soften.
- Use the back of the spatula to press the fruit.
- Take a jar and strain all the content.
- Press the fruity mixture to get the juice into the container.
- Let it cool off.
- Add two tablespoons of lemon (lemon hacks) juiceto the lemon tea.
- Add ice cubes to glasses and garnish them with lemon and peach slices.
- Add peach syrup and lemon tea mixture in a 1:2 ratio.
- Serve it to your guests.
Pink Raspberries/ Strawberries Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1.5 Cups Raspberries or Strawberries
- 1/4 Cup Honey or Maple Syrup
- Mint Leaves
- Three Lemons
- Water
Process
- Take one and a half cups of raspberries and strawberries, and add them to a saucepan.
- Add a quarter cup of maple syrup or honey to them, and let the mixture simmer on medium heat until the berries soften.
- Mash the raspberries or strawberries (strawberry mousse recipe) using the back of the spatula.
- Strain the mixture into a jar and allow it to cool.
- Add the juice of three lemons and four cups of water.
- Add ice to the glasses, pour the mixture and garnish it with mint leaves.
- Enjoy the drink on a hot day.
Grapefruit & Pineapple Spritzer
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Jaggery Powder
- 1 Roughly Chopped Pineapple
- Two Grapefruits
- Water
- Club Soda
Process
- Chop a whole pineapple and add it to the saucepan.
- Keep the zest of two grapefruits aside and add their juice to the saucepan.
- Add 1/2 a cup of jaggery powder and water.
- Let the mixture simmer at medium-high heat for 10 or 15 minutes.
- Add the zest to the mixture.
- Mash the fruits and strain the mixture.
- Once the mixture is cool, you can add it to the glass in an equal ratio with fresh grapefruit juice.
- Add chilled water and club soda in equal parts to the glass.
- Stir the mixture and enjoy the drink.
