Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rajma
  • Masala Paste: 8 soaked cashews or kaju
  • 2 tbsp fried onions
  • 1 whole red chilli
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 3 tbsp saffron water
  • Other Ingredients: 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp kewra water
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • ¼ cup roasted besan or gram flour
  • oil for roasting

Step

  • Step 1 :

    Pressure cook the rajma and let it cool down completely.

  • Step 2 :

    Drain off the water from rajma and blend them in the grinder to make a smooth paste.

  • Step 3 :

    Now, blend the cashews separately into a paste.

  • Step 4 :

    Add in the fried onions, cardamoms, chilli, coriander and saffron water into the same blender with cashew paste.

  • Step 5 :

    Once the paste is ready, add it in the rajma paste and mix.

  • Step 6 :

    In the same paste, add the ginger garlic paste, garam masala, chilli powder, salt, rose water, ghee, besan and kewra water.

  • Step 7 :

    Mix well and then grease your hands with oil to make balls from the dough.

  • Step 8 :

    Roast the pedas on a flat tawa with some heat oil.

  • Step 9 :

    Roast both sides until the kebab is crisp and then serve with any chutney you like.
